No client receives money. Instead they are given a voucher which is accepted by the gas and utilitiy companies, as well as, certain markets and most landlords.

Clients who need household goods also receive a voucher listing the particular items they are to receive from the St. Vincent de Paul warehouse. Nothing in the warehouse is for sale and only those clients with vouchers receive help.
All home visitors, truck drivers, warehouse workers and any other workers helping the society are volunteers.
